Sylvannah Garnham
Sylvannah Garnham-Orr, MS, LAC, ADC, CSC is a therapist who holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Choosing a therapist is a significant step toward healing, whether someone is seeking support for a child, a relationship, or a personal journey. Sylvannah believes therapy should be as unique and multifaceted as the individuals she serves. Her practice is dedicated to helping children, adults, and couples navigate the complexities of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and behavioral challenges.
Sylvannah utilizes an integrative model, drawing from a diverse toolkit to meet each client’s specific needs. She does not believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach; instead, she bridges the gap between practical symptom management and deeper, meaningful exploration.
Sylvannah specializes in utilizing Play Therapy and Art Therapy with children and adolescents. These creative modalities allow children to communicate their inner worlds and process behavioral issues or trauma when traditional talk therapy is not enough. She also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with adults to provide immediate, actionable tools for managing anxiety and depression. To create lasting change, she incorporates Psychodynamic and Existential frameworks to help clients explore the “why” behind their patterns and discover a deeper sense of purpose and meaning.
She is committed to creating a tranquil, inclusive environment where every client feels seen and understood. To better serve the diverse community, she offers basic conversational support in American Sign Language (ASL).
Whether working through “big feelings” with a child or navigating a complex life transition with an adult, Sylvannah’s goal is to walk alongside clients as they find their path back to balance and strength.
